View Full Version : Detailed Elegance - 2002 Metallic White Lexus RX300
I am going to use a carnuba topper over my Klasse AIO and SG. The topper will only add shine because the protection is already there with the Klasse, correct me if I am wrong. Need some help choosing a topper, I am going to use P21S or Blitz?? I believe that P21S is easier to apply and remove but Blitz will give me more shine right??
Blitz is the best best the effort is worth the elbow ache- if not use pinnacle final inspection treatment - thats even easier to take of

Either use P21S or some Pinnacle Paste Glaz. I`m sure you`d love either one.

Where`s the Souveran?????? J/K
I never tried P21S but I can remove a coat of Blitz that has dried on the surface of a compact car (corolla) for an hour in 10 minutes.
The P21S can be buffed off while wet, and from the things I heard a little better than P21S, a LITTLE better. It may take a trained eye to notice the difference.
The Blitz should last longer, and is recommended as a topper on a daily driver, but on a garage queen/weekend warrior the P21S is good.
But for $45 Souveran tops the list for me. Just $20 more than the P21S.
Adding a canrauba toper will increase shine and protection. You are basically adding a shell over the Klasse, but this shell does not last long depending on the wax.

Oh yea I forgot about the Souveran only being $45. Heck with the Pinacle Paste Glaz go for Souveran it`s incredible! :xyxthumbs

Actually, the P21 may give you a slightly better shine over Blitz. Blitz will give you a bit more depth than P21 and much better durability.
Where is the Souveran listed for $45. It`s a steal at that price. Laters

"Due to circumstances beyond our control we are no longer offering the Pinnacle Souveran sale." It is not just the Souveran but the whole Pinnacle line of products.
Check it out.

Chris-
You can *literally* apply a coat of P21S (and remove it) over your entire vehicle in 15 minutes or so (that`s what it takes me on an SUV - I`m sure a sedan will take a few minutes less).
Also - if residue is any consideration - P21S doesn`t leave any. Dunno about Blitz.
I use the P21S almost like a QD - I wash the car, then give it a quick hit with a coat of P21S. Leaves the car incredibly shiny and silky smooth (am I sounding like a shampoo commercial now or what? don`t hate my car because it`s beautiful.. LoL...)

It`s been a busy few weeks (no complaints from me). I had a 2002 Metallic White Lexus RX300 for a full detail today (interior and exterior). Once again, I was under heavy time constraints. The people who run this shop, want to leave by 3:30pm, so once again I was fighting the clock.
Process:
Wash - ONR w/2BM
Clay - Blackfire Poly Clay with ONR as lube and BF Clay Cleaner and Extender
Tires and Wheel Wells - Purple Power (full Strength)
Wheels - SCG Beyond Steel and various brushes
Door Jambs - Meg`s APC+
Grill - APC+
Windows - Megs D120
Paint Correction:
Tried Poorboys PwS on a green pad, then Optimum Hyper Polish on a white pad, and then settled on Meg`s M205 on a Hydrotech Cayan pad. This combo took care of the minor swirls, and finished down nicely.
Wheels sealed with Opt OptiSeal
Tires Dressed with SCG Beyond Black
All exterior trim treated with Black Again and 303 Aerospace Protectant
LSP - Collinite 845IW
Interior Vacuumed
Interior cleaned with APC+ and dressed with 303 Aerospace Protectant
Leather Seats cleaned with APC+ (10:1) and leather brush
On to the pics.
Here is the car as I arrived

Thanks Chad.
I am not overly fond of doing the tires and wheels with ONR myself, but sometimes it`s my only option. Especially when I don`t have a water source. Each tire/wheel/well took me aprox. 5-10 minutes.
As for the pics, I just can`t seem to really capture the defects. I think I need some photo lessons.~X(

Very nice Barry.
I enjoyed the photos and writeup.
Sometimes its those white neglected daily drivers that really bring out a great before and after shot.
