Today I peeled off some stickers (I hate stickers) off the side of my truck. You`ve seen these stickers before, they say Z71 offroad. Anyway, they have either left some residue or a full outline in the paint. I don`t know which one. But I can`t feel it so I don`t know if it`s adhesive residue or not. What is it, how or can I get rid of it, and thank you all for the suggestions in advance!

3M makes an adhesive/tar/bug remover that is safe for your paint. The photo shows one style but the I have found it packaged differently at my local autoparts store. It will break down any sticker residue that is left behind.

I`ve had success with conventional, Ronson cigarette lighter fluid. It contains naptha which probably has dangers other than combustion alone but is unlike the the 3M product which contains a known carcinogen, xylene.

How about Goo Gone?? I have had success with it. Just don`t let it sit on the paint forever.

As I put the finishing touches on my packing to go to SEMA, I thought I would post. Todd and I will get into town about 7:00 pm Sunday. We have to set up our booth on Monday morning. After we finish setting the booth up, we will check out some of the other people at the show and get some early pictures for you. Todd is even threatening to write one of his (almost) famous adventure stories of us on the loose at this years SEMA show. But this year, instead of being just attendees, it will be from the perspective of displaying at the show. Being an exhibitor adds the new wrinkle of tending to your booth AND seeing the show, taking pictures, and meeting with the current and new vendors we have to meet with. We have called in re-enforcements in the name of Bryan Burnworth of Peachstate Detail LLC to help us in the booth with the official announcement of Lake Country`s incredible One Pad System. We will of course have additional help from our friends Eric Dunn and Scott McClain from Lake Country to demonstrate the One Pad System and all of this system`s great technology.

We will also be making our first official announcement of the coming New properautocare.com. We will be giving a sneak preview of what is in store. This is a project we are very excited about and have been working on for over one year. I think you will all like what we have in store for you.
So back to packing, stay tuned, I will add to this post daily from the show and I am sure Todd will have his own thread of comments and pictures. We might even get Bryan to give his comments on the show.

If you are at the show, stop by and say hello.

Thanks

Too bad many of us on here cannot attend. Can you set up a webcam at the booth so we can see the show?? I know Bryan knows how to do this :rofl:
