68 Camaro SS Full Paint Correction by Richie`s Custom Detailing

The previous owner had a sunroof spoiler on the car, but since I hate the dang thing, I removed it. However, since the sunroof spoiler has been on there for about 4 years, there`s a visible line where it sat.



It`s not scratch or anthing, just a thick "stain" on the paint. I`ve tried washing and claying, but nothign seems to work. Suggestions?

It may be the paint underneath did not fade like the surounding paint??



Try a very mild polish or paint cleaner like PPCL or other.



Maybe KLasse AIO could remove it.



I am trying to picture what you described but my brain aint working so hot. GOt any pics??

I have black paint and this "stain" produced from the sunroof spoiler is lighter than the rest of the paint. I don`t think it`s fading.

You can see here that anpther detailer had rolled the clear previously, which is the point right before striking through the clear.



The paint reading on this spot showed 650 microns and goes to show that even if you have high paint readings it doesn`t necessarily mean there is is alot of clear to work with.



Needless to say i avoided this spot like the plague.
