Is there anywhere that I can buy a PC locally? I would prefer to do that, but if it`s absolutely neccesary, I can order on-line. Are they sold at Lowe`s or some place similiar?

check in the abay forum. I put up a post in there regarding the PC and some guys said it was availible at Lowes and at WalMart. Check out that post. If you can`t find it anywere else you can get it on www.costaltool.com for like 115 bucks. Still get the PC pad kit from www.properautocare.com though.

You can get the PC 7336 from Lowes for $109. It`s the same machine only it comes with sanding stuff instead of a polishing head, but you need to order a new backing plate and pads anyway so who cares. It already has the 6`` counterweight installed, so you can just order the PC kit from CMA and your ready to go.:up

So if I looked for it at Lowe`s, where would I find it?

For clarification, is it not specifically designed for cars? If it`s not, where would it be at Lowe`s?

Check the POWER Tool section

Yes. It will be in the power tool section. My Loewes sold it to me for $98 including tax, because they price-matched Wal-Mart and knocked off 10%. I`m not sure if they needed to do that but the were super nice in my case. They actually sell the 7336SP which has the polishing pad as bonus. However, I think everyone believes the supplied pad is not so useful.

Anyone know if PC is available in 240Vac or supply a PC contact.

Cheers

Big Cat,

Don`t you have to change the weight on the 7336?

7424 comes with a different weight in the head.

You can get a PC at a computer store like Gateway or CompUSA. :)

High Noon,

The 7336 comes with the 6`` counterweight which is the correct weight if you are using the velcro backing plate from CMA.

High Noon:
Showroomlincoln is correct. The advantage of buying the 7336 is that it comes with the 6" counter-weight for use with a 6" backing plate (like the one CMA sells with its kit). The foam polishing pad supplied with the 7424 or the 7336SP kit can apparently be used with a polisher that has either the 5" or 6" counter-weight.
