Hi Guys -

I apologize if this has already been covered in the past...but could not help but notice that the HHShopping 13 by 13 MF towels are only $1.75 ea. (wholesale).

Can anyone comment on the quality of these towels? Are they very similar to the NEATitems towels, or more along the lines of the NicSand brand? Are different colors available? Thanks.

articwhite,

Check out this thread http://www.autopia-carport.com/forum/showthread.php3?threadid=5450 (`http://www.autopia-carport.com/forum/showthread.php3?threadid=5450`)

Some said they had a linting problem, and quality is always an issue when it comes to MF towels.

Reading that thread was very helpful. I think that I`ll pass on the HHShopping towels, myself. Thanks again.

what does the jury say about the Rightlook.com towels? How is their plushness rated versus NEATitems, Miracle, etc.? Thanks:)

With regards to Miracle, not as plush. Expect a Viper equv. for Rightlook.

I am trying to remove some deeper scratches. I have PC 7424. I used M105
with orange pad but need more cut. I would like to try the purple foam wool pad but I hear it is not recommended for use with the PC 7424. However; I read that some people did use the PC 7424 with good results. I think the M105 is fine. Any suggestions on the most aggressive pad that I should use with my PC 7424?

Personally, I have not heard this.

The Porter Cable 7424 is a great tool and there sales number support this statement. Where I feel it`s somewhat deficient is its power.

Paint correction requires enough power to push the compounds and polishes if the finish defects are to be successfully removed. To help offset or to improve this situation try using a smaller diameter pad and backing plate.

When using my Porter Cable polisher I`ve been using Lake Country yellow and orange pads. They`re 5 1/2" in diameter and about 3/4" thick. This pad has less surface area to manage and the Porter Cable unit takes advantage of this making paint correction more efficient.

People are getting great results with the surbuf pads and da`s. It is a similar concept but different, the "fingers" are alot shorter than what you see in wool pads which helps with the da.

PFW works great on a PC with M105. More cut than yellow and less marring. On light colors I`ve finished LSP ready.

I have used the Surbuf pads with M105 with great results. I have also heard others on this forum have used and liked the PFW.
