Hey, i detailed my car using the klasse twins and following instructions that came with them (From yosteve.com). I dont have any swirls on the car because it so new, but i found that for the tiny scratches the Klasse AIO did little to nothing. The scratches were still there!

I de-badged and some scratches occured during the process...on my previous car 3M IHG removed/filled those scratches caused by the debadging process and made it look perfect. This time around the Klasse just didnt do it.

So. Is it possible to use 3M IHG (instead of AIO)--> KLASSE SG?

every week or after every rainstor, It basically fills in the scratches with oils, hiding them temporarily.........

3M IHG fills them, but wont its temporary filling last as long as the Klasse is on top of it? (6-9months)

You can`t put Klasse SG on top of IHG. The oils in the IHG will not allow the SG to bond properly.

You may want to remove the scratches with a light abrasive such as 3M Swirl Mark Remover PN #39009. If that does not work, you would kick it up a knotch to 3M Perfect It III Machine Glaze.

To see progress, wash the oils left by the 3M polishes to check the surface. Use a 50/50 mixture of distilled water and rubbing alcohol. The oils are used in these polishes to help carry the abrasive and polish the surface.

Then follow up with Klasse twins. I am a firm believer that Klasse AIO goes hand in ahnd with SG

I think that IHG will prevent SG from adhering to the surface. I know what you`re thinking is that the KSG will seal in the IHG, right? Sorry, can`t be that way. AIO preps the surface by removing oils (like IHG) from the surface so that KSG has a nice clean surface to stick to.

If you want to use IHG, try as many coats of SG as possible (6+ will start filling swirls!) and then top that with IHG and that with a good wax. You will need to IHG every few weeks because the wax will not totally seal it in.

EDIT/ADDED: Oops, I just noticed ShowroomLincoln`s reply saying the same thing above. Sorry I didn`t notice it before.

All the other before me are correct. One correction though, you will start to see the filling properties of Klasse SG after only two coats. Others here can confirm this. I was very surprised by this wonderful characteristic of this product. This filling effect lasts a few months as well. Laters
