There are a number of good polishes for metals. Pick a line of products that has several levels of polishes if you really want to make "any" metals on the vehilce as good as possible. I really like this stuff:

000 or 0000 steel wool, on chrome or stainless

depending on the original condition, either a quick wax or if needed mothers mag polish
