I sprung for the Griots $70.00 car wash brush. It works best with light dirt. A mitt seems to work better when the car is very dirty. A few hairs come off at every washing. Anyone else have experience with this?

I stopped using a boars hair brush because it was too hard to maintain. I started using the large OXO brush and love it. I use it on the lower body panels, plastic parts, rubber... I`ve used it about 35-40 times now and it`s still in great shape.

If that license plate holder isn`t for sale on the website, it oughta be!

If you offer one in black with chrome letters I`m there.

Seriously, we should all have "Autopia" on our license plate frames - we could be driving right by each other & never know it otherwise!

Sign me up for a frame - make that two - very cool. Black frame would be preferred.

I would also like one black one, for my future car (probably a Fords Pinto). :p

Ok, I`ve moved this discussion about autopian license plate frames to a dedicated thread (or I`m trying to, anyway) so we`re not terribly off-topic.

to talk about how cool it would be to have these....

I used the OXO brush and it seemed to put very small scratches in the paint. I only use a chenille wash mitt for the paint. I do use the OXO wheel brush and also the tire brush.

I use the Griot`s brush and like it a lot. However, I do only use it on the lower body panels like David said. I do lose a few hairs here and there. But it is quite dense, so I am not overly concerned....Otherwise a chenile wash mit. :)

I would definitely be down for 1. David, how could you put your hand on the car? How dare you? Get a Miracle Towel for God`s sake! Laters.

I still lilke Poorboy`s EXP but I LOVE BFWD. On one of my car`s I had EXP and decided not to do a Dawn wash and IPA wipedown. I put the BFWD right over the EXP and IMO came out just fine. Next year I will start fresh with clay and fresh detail going 100% w/BFWD, but for now I am set for winter. I also applied BFWD by hand for the 1st time. Easy on and off but I still prefer application with my PC.

Very nice! I agree, BFWD should last quite a while. It`s definitely some slick stuff!
