View Full Version : I Hate It When This Happens....

I just received my new Noah car cover. I used to have an Evolution 4 one, which was heavier.

My question is, how do I keep the car cover from blowing off of the top of the car as I`m putting it on? This used to happen on occaision with my old cover, and with my new one, since it`s even lighter, it seems to happen alot-especially since the surface of my car is quite slick from wax. Make putting the cover on and taking it of a bit difficult..

I have the same problems with my cover sometimes. When you uncover the car, try to unfold the cover slowly and in equal amount on each side. This will help the cover not to slide to one side. When you are folding the cover, try to put the bulk of the cover along the center of the car. It will keep it from sliding so much. I have the exact same problem. I have the Superweave cover from Cal Car Cover, and it is very light.

If your cover is equipped with mirror pockets, these should always be placed over the mirrors FIRST when placing the cover on the car. This will also aid in the cover remaining more stable during application.

ShowroomLincoln`s comments and Arctics are spot on. I use Henryk`s tail or front bumper anchoring method, too.

I have the top end cover from California Car Covers. Man, it is like a sail, it is so light. I fold twice to the centerline, then roll from each end (front and rear bumpers)to the middle of the car. Reverse the procedure for putting the cover on.

Arcticwhite is right on. Showroom Lincoln gives very sound advice as well.

Ya gotta give the guy props for having the guts and the presence of mind grab his camera and snap a picture. The last time I got stopped (26 years ago) I was shaking so hard I would have dropped the camera.

Haha... yeah, my last ticket was in 1992. I wasn`t shaking, I was pissed! (that I got caught!)
