View Full Version : Kind of a review, S&W, UPP

A little over a week ago, I used Meg`s#9 and Klasse AIO on the van.
Today, I used S&W, (for the fourth time this week), and applied my new UPP. Version 3or 3.5, I think.

Anyway, some observations or at least my opinions.

1. S&W is absolutely great. You people already knew that

2. It works much better for me at warmer temperatures. At 38 degrees, it doesn`t give me the completely dry surface I`m looking for. At 48 degrees it gives me dry with a couple of swipes. 55 degrees, and it really comes into its own. For a product that I really had reservations about, it has become one of my most used products. Great stuff.

3. The new UPP is even easier to apply and spread thinly, removes quite easily, (as did the last version I had), and actually seems to be even slicker than previous versions. It didn`t require much drying time either. Probably 15 to 20 minutes.

Any comments or opinions from others?

we split a hood into 4 sections and tried 4 different quick detailer products and Poorboy`s was the best. Easiest on and off and slickest.

We used, Spray and Wipe, Final Inspection, Final Detail, and Mothers.

That is almost down right scary! Even slicker than before?

Hey Civic - while labeled as a QD it actually leaves nothing, zip, nada behind excpet your finish and anything you did to it before it got cleaned :)

Well, my point was not that it was leaving anything, it was that it was slicker. I guess the other stuff did leave something behind then.

I have been using S&W mostly in the mornings but the other day I used it in the middle of the day and it was different - easier to remove - not that it`s hard to remove any time. I hadn`t made the correlation with temperature yet ... I was thinking it had to do with how dirty the surface was or how much I applied. Interesting ... :wow maybe that`s it.

Fuzz - I`ll dye streaks in my mullet if we get a :thinking smilie too. maybe this guy scratching his head

Yes. I just compared UPP v.2 with v.3, and v.3 is definitely slicker. :)

Not sure if it`s noted anywhere on the bottle, but Dwayne said that version 3 came out in April 2003. See discussion in this thread -
