I am always checkin` the auto cleaning section of any store I go in for the latest and greatest and I came across a new cleaning cloth that Turtle Wax has put out. It is Microfiber Technology (that`s what the wrapper states) - comes in 3 colours blue, yellow and white - is a 70/30 blend made in Korea, about 14 x14 inches plus and is only $2.99 in Canadian dollars which means their probably .99 cents in the US. I have Miracle Towels but I bought a few. Tried the CD test which, in my test, did not scratch the finish. They are not as plush as The Miracle Towel - they are about the same plushness as other towels I got from Micro-org. I used them last week to help MAKE `UM SHINE, detailing a car and was real please with their performance - no scratching and picked up product with ease. For the guys in Ontario Canada I got these at Zellers. Pricewise and performance wise, comparing to anything I have tried from CAN. Tire these are a great deal in my books. Yes I rushed back and bought what was left on the shelf to help me make more things shine. Check `um out. MTS

These may be the same as the ones offered by S.M. Arnold in St. Louis, who is a wholesaler only to body shop supply houses and they do retail some items around the country. I got a sample of each color and have found that they work very well on glass, but not near as good as the Miracle Towels or even the Nicsand on paint. Thinner material and less nap than both others mentioned. You can see them at http://www.smarnold.com (`http://www.smarnold.com`)

Those Turtle Wax Polishing cloths are available in the U.S. also for $2.99. They scratched(caused micro-marring) when I did the CD test but they work great for windows and dusting.

Matt - I found these in the Toronto area. As far as the micro marring, in the cd test I could not see any sign of marring. i do remember seeing in previous posts that some cd`s may have a harder clear coat finish then others and that`s why I indicated my test showed not scratches. I agree nothing can measure up to the miracle towel but as some of you may know they are not available in Canada and are expensive to order and get here from the US and I thought these were pretty good for the price compared to what is up here. OK Im sure a few of you have been and probably even entered into the events but I couldnt find any topics on it so i thought I would share a few pictures I have on the event.

I am talking about the week long festivites in Monterey California ever August. It is truly an amazing event, filled with tons of truly unbeleivable cars, art shows, food, entertainment, auto racing and scenery. This is when the Pebble Beach Concourse takes place, along with truly legendary auto racing at Luguna Seca Raceway, and the Concorso Italiano. Its an amazing event, if you get the opportunity to go, do it, this isnt your typical car show with 2 Ferrari`s and maybe a Gallardo. The first year I went, by the time I got to the hotel, I had already seen, 4 Bugatti Veyrons. Every type of exotic sports car you could imagine is there all at once for an entire week. These people just dont pull them off a trailer and let them sit either. They are there driving them down the street like it would be your typical Hyundia, except its a 10 million dollar one off Ferrari.

I cant say its cheap, its not by any means. But then again its not hugely expensive. Id rather go to this every year than do anything else. I wasnt able to attend last year because of a dumb job, (that I dont even work at any more :( ya its bs)

Especially at the Concorso, the first year i went there was a total of 4,000 Ferrari`s :thumbup ::clap: Its truly a sight to see.

or a matte black Murcielago!

or one of 8 Enzo`s parked along the street at night

So here is my collections of photo`s towards the end are just random galleries of me and my crap so excuse those lol, but there are tons of car photo`s there, I think 13 or 14 pages from the Monterey Event:

But truly one of my favorite cars and the car I would buy if I won the lottery tomorrow would be this:

Thanks guys!

Honestly right now IS the best time to buy tickets, because they are a little cheaper than normal. Plus the biggest problem is finding a hotel room. The way my parents and I found ours is kinda funny but not really at the same time.

We got a prime hotel room in the middle of the action, main drag of Monterey. Typically this room is $300 a night, during that event its double that, or more. We got our room, because the guy that had it before us, died. No joke. Thats how hard it is, either you know someone that has a room/house in Carmel or Monterey or you stay 50 miles away and drive in. Even the motel 6/8`s around there during that week at $300 a night. They know they can sell them for a premium and they get away with it.

Plus if you want to rent a house down there you can. But the city has a minimum time limit on renting. The minimum you can rent for is 1 MONTH. NO LESS. LOL so unless you got an easy relaxed job or are retired its kinda hard to do that, but houses are reasonable if you rent them a month at a time. A couple grand with get you a house on the ocean for a month.

Here is a GREAT link to last years show photos plus it is where you can buy tickets:

I already have mine ordered  If anyone plans on going from this site, the closer we get to next August, I think we should make our own little thread and have a meeting point for a little meet and greet

In this event you can enter both Italian and NON-Italian cars. So if any of you out there have a bad ass Ferrari/whatever you should enter it!! I was days from entering an old Supra of mine, but I got rear ended like 2 days before I was going to enter it. So I knew I wouldn`t have enough time to fix/paint/prepare it for the show

thanks for all the nice comments as well

Mike
