Has anyone done a self-install of a precut Xpel kit for their bumper, hood, or grill? If so, can you please describe the process and the difficulty of the install (how many hours, people, where done, potential issues...)? I`d like to do a bumper kit and possibly a grill kit myself as the install tends to cost about as much as the product itself.

Thanks

Steve

I did the front end and mirrors of my S4. Not really that difficult just tedious. If you are patient and detail oriented it is an easy DIY project. Xpel gives excellent instructions on the web site, has a free video they will send if you ask them and are willing to spend time on the phone with you if needed. I am thrilled with their product and customer support.

I did this boat today, the owner is putting it away for the winter. Its been at the lake for the last month so it has gotten pretty dirty.

Hey Nick... great job on the Wake Setter! You definitely get a wide variety of detail jobs don`t you?!!!!:thumbup: (It get`s a little boring doing Vettes and Muscle cars all the time.)(Yeah, right!)

Looks fantastic!

Looks awesome, Nick!!

I don`t mind detailing boats that size, but will never do another 40+ footer ever again...

That`s a pretty cool looking boat.

Nice work!

Nick,

I don`t know much about boats, but I sure do know a great shine when I see one. Nice turn around.

Put 4 wheels on that thing and it would make a real nice ride:driving:

Thanks guys,

I used many products from the Meguiars Marine Line, such as their wash, spray detailer etc. I also used a lot of wash mitts, brushes, my pressure washer etc. I also dressed the tires with Hyperdressing

Then for the inside I used a lot of brushes, my shop vac, APC Plus, Meguiars Leather Spray, QID, Natural Shine, M40 etc.

Nice job! I would hate to lay a hand on that dash board in the blazing sun though! Even the blue on my boats seats gets smokin hot in the sun, I cant imagine what black is like!

I have a quick question for you. How do you guys who do boats, jet ski`s, etc clean the areas that rest on the trailer skids? I just bought 2 jet ski`s and it drives me nuts not being able to detail those areas.
