Any feedback on any of the Simoniz products offered? Good, bad, indifferent? Equivalent to the Turtle Wax type offerings? Thanks.

Curious as to why you`re thinking of using or buying the Simoniz products. There are so many better products out there. I guess what I`m saying is that I`m totally indifferent (to put it nicely) about this product line.

I had gone into a store today that I usually do not frequent. Figured I`d check out their detailing section and they happened to carry the Simoniz line, that`s all. I did not purchase any of it - was only curious as I had not seen it before - don`t panic, I was only wondering about it. ;)

That`s good to know Arcticwhite. For the life of me, I can`t remember what you use on the Vette. Do you use Blitz? I believe you do but I`m not sure. Simoniz is not going to be anywhere as good as Blitz. No question. Your Vette deserves Blitz or even better.

Yes I do use Blitz on the Vette and am very pleased with the depth of the finish. When I see something "new" (Simoniz) I`m just curious about performance/uses - so don`t worry. ;)

Good to know. Laters.

I heard that back in the day Simoniz was good, but ownership has changed hands several times so the Simoniz products you see on the shelf today are not the same stuff your dad or grand dad used.

I finally used up my Meg`s QID but I had seen one post claiming the newer formula (with more UV) is not longer than a plain cleaner leaving NO sheen. It supposedly is a bit more oily.

Comments?

I haven`t use it in a long time, lately I been using 1Zeinszett Cockpit Premium Interior Plastic Cleaner Bunky.

I picked up a bottle over the summer. I was told that it`s similar to 1Z CP, but it wasn`t. There was more sheen and a slightly oily finish - didn`t like it. I haven`t tried the older formula, though.

I have bottles of the new and old formula. I have not had it leavy an oily surface or any residue at all.

I like it since it leaves the surface fresh and clean and also leaves a great scent. The matte appearance it leaves is nice too IMO. The newer formula also has improved UV protection.

BTW, I have 1z cockpit premium but the Meg`s is good too. I like the smell better than 1z but neither is long lasting. The Meg`s bottle sprayer is great.

I didnt know there were new and old formula`s? I have about 10 bottles sitting on the shelf from last summer when I got a good deal on it. Once I run out Ill try the 1z stuff.
