Has anyone on here used a battery tender? Seems there great for when you have a vehicle that doesn`t get driven all the time.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

It`s a must have if your vehicle stays a long time in the garaged.

I have two "Battery Tender Juniors"... $49 on Amazon, free shipping.

I use them to maintain the two Corvettes during the winter months. The nice thing is that they cannot over-charge. They have a built-in voltage regulator that deactivates the charge when the battery reaches 14v, then reactivates when it goes below 11v.

Nice units. Well worth the money. Battery is always fresh and ready to go.:D

I have a battery tender junior, it stays plugged in year round. During the summer its connected to my girls snowmobile battery. During the winter it is connected to my boats battery.

I agree with everyone, I use it on the streetrod during the winter and if I know I am not going to be using the car for long periods. It`s also essential if you have newer car that is all electronic. I know programming radio stations isnt difficult but it also keep many things alive when not in use.
