I just got a bottle of M105 from Classic today and I am wondering if it is the "new" formula that can be used by DAPs. The bottle on shows pics of hand application and rotary application in the instructions.

It will also show a da on the back. You have the older version.

Bottle on website looks like the one I have. I`m gonna take a guess and say that there is no "new" formula. Same formula, new application. Am I right?

Well that sucks. Guess I`ll send it back for a new bottle.

Personally, many people using the new M105 find that the old one might work a little better with a dual action polisher (even though not recommended by the manufacturer). In fact the KBM (Kevin Brown Method) was designed around the properites of the OLD formula.

The new formula isn`t as sensitve to pad priming but doens`t seem to have quite the same amount of cutting power. I learned and still use the old version mostly.

An to answer the other question, the new M105 is a different (or tweaked) formula.

I find that when using the new formula w/ the KBM is wipes away easier, but like Todd said it appears to have less cut.

Dont return it. It works fine

I have v1 and use it with the DA and have not experienced any problems with gumming or anything of that sort

I havent used the new formula but I see no need to. I dont want the extra working time.

To me the older version is the best one to use, Faster cut.
