CQuartz by CarPro is an anti-static, hydrophobic nano coating that shines and protects your vehicle like nothing else! CQuartz works on the molecular level to transform the surface. Once treated with CQuartz, your vehicle will repel water and environmental contaminants, and it will maintain a clear, reflective, diamond hard shine. One application can last two years!

Let’s face it, your car is an investment and honestly, some of us just don’t have the time to wash and protect our investment as often as we’d like.

That’s where CQuartz comes in. CQuartz Ceramic Quartz Paint Protection creates a super durable protective coating that will reduce that required regular maintenance for up to two years. Your vehicle will stay cleaner longer; will not require frequent polishing, and no additional layers of paint protection!

CQuartz is certainly scratch resistant, but not completely scratch proof.

IMO, It looks to me that it may be tape residue from previous filming.

Can CQuartz be applied directly after Menzerna po85rd? Or should 50/50 Iso wipe down be recommended?

Yeah, I wondered the same thing but I`ll be the first to say I can get messed up looking at a finish under certain lighting conditions.

Definitely. The surface should be free of any polishing oils before applying. This will ensure that the coating will cure properly.

Hi All ,
im Avi from CarPro, ill try to help with questions here about carpro line products.

Anyone notice a straight scratch just right of the light?this video was only to show how it should be applied, this is salvage panel, wasnt fully polished, thats why you see that scratch.

must be fully remove any oil or polish residue,
IPA with water 50/50 is not enough, we found ipa only "lifting" the oily residue from surface , not dissolving them, so while wiping with MF some of these return back to surface
thats why we suggest 90% ipa +10% dish wash soap, or even our ironx soap gel , this will dissolve any left oils from surface.. notice that after this procedure surface must rinsed well with water or power washed, if not , Cquartz wont bond well enough to surface.

So I fill up a bottle with 90% IPA and then fill the rest of it up with purely dish soap.

Thanks for the Vid John & Avi. I should have some CQuartz on the way to do my wife car. This along with great information provided by Richy & Corey will really help to make sure I get it right.

Question: Avi, I have read and assume that the 30ml is enough to do a standard mid sized car all over. (Paint, Wheels, Glass, Trim) If this is the case is one coat sufficient, or should I buy another 30ml to do a second coat?

Hi
30ml will be enough , do first the car body, only if you have left you can do the rest
1 layer is enough, make sure to prepare the car well.

Does CQuartz have a measurable layer of protection, i.e.. electronic paint gauge?
I could see this if so, a great way to market to clients.

There is full and very long thread done by a student in Poland :

Laboratory Testing of Cquartz by Milosz - Detailing World (http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=200935)
you can see there pics and measures,
cquartz thickness is between 0.5 ~1.5 microns,
the thickness basically dont mean anything, its the property of the coat which matters.
