I love it! I got a dehydrator last month for Valentines Day and have been trying out different spices and flavorings.
I am on my 12th batch. It is coming out really good. Any of you make your own jerky?

If i did i would be broke. I can sit and eat a large bag of the stuff without having a second thought about it.

Youre in luck! Jerky is MUCH cheaper when you make it yourself. Make your own and eat all you want!

Not to mention you`ll be sure of what ingredients are in it, and you can cater to certain nutritional exceptions you may have.

Absolutely love the stuff :drool: beef jerky chicken jerky turkey jerky venison jerky lol but unfortunately I have to control myself as I have high blood pressure and its loaded with salt :cry:

I just loaded my dehydrator with my special honey firecracker jerky! Im so excited. I ran out 3 days ago.
Im bringing some to Detailfest for you all to try.

So tell me, Garry, Jared, are you slicers or grinders? I`m a slicer... elk, deer, once in a great while gator.
Tried the Jerkey Shooter... grind, spice and squeeze it out on the rack like tooth paste... never got the hang of it. Gotta love Cabela`s. They took everything back, no questions asked.

I`ve made it both ways. I got pretty decent with the ground (I get no fat added when I have it processed) and can make good jerky that way.
