For customers that are not willing to pay for an extensive swirl removal process, I am looking for a 1-2 punch that will remove some swirls/polish in the first step and then polish, hide and protect in the 2nd step. For instance can you use ssr2 on a medium abrasive pad followed by pwc blue with a polishing pad and call it a day on a black vehicle?

If folks aren`t willing to pay you for your time, I`d even go so far as to say just do them a one step cover-up. Just be honest about what you`re doing and let them know what to expect. No sense in working for someone for free - i.e. doing a multiple step process when they`re giving you wash & wax pay.

I would use SSR2.5 on an orange pad and then finish with PwC blue or PwS on a finishing pad for your 1-2 punch ;)

I had a black SUV over the weekend, guy wanted just the inside done. I got the car washed from the local car wash...so just because it was his child`s first car, I did a one step on the paint.

I used P-w-C with a light cut pad worked it well and called it a done job. They where very happy with the results. Not the kind of work that I like to turn back but for what he asked for he was happy.

I do a lot of 1 - 2. What Poorboy mentioned is a pretty good attack! I`ve even done the SS 2.5 followed with a xxxxxxxxx

I agree. I have seen detailers use a one step and while it wouldn`t pass for concours, it looked pretty good.

Awsome I will give that a try this weekend! Can I follow up the 2.5 with a polishing pad or do you guys recommend a finishing pad?
