I thought I would provide GearHead with a little excitement this morning...

YouTube - 2011 Ford Mustang: New 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 Engine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tnIen8Ru74)

Yeah, I can hear the yawn all the way down here ;) OK, let me pump up the jam. :)

Wait! What`s that I hear? A little heavy breathing? A door slamming? I think he`s headed for a test drive. :D

The Woman keeps telling me she wants a GT500...in black...with silver stripes. I showed an article with the 2011 GT350, but since it is available only in white, she doesn`t want it.

Damn women...:)

I read S/N 350, though it hasn`t even been built yet, sold at Barrett-Jackson for a cool $137,500  Darn, if it gone for a grand less I could have been in the market. :rofl

There`s a couple of clips in this video that gives a whole new meaning to the term smoke `em if you got `em. :D

I`d drive that 5.0 after I did a little work on it. ;)

You mean it wouldn`t take a great deal of arm twisting? :D

No just a little wrench twisting to shoe horn a little huffer under the hood.

I agree it is only 302 cubic inches and that is not very big but it is better than the little 281 cid that they have used for several years.

What is fast depends on who you are talking to and what their interpretation of fast is or to put it another way what is meat and potatoes for one is only applesauce for someone else.

That 302 needs boost and a shot of nitrous to wake it up.

How fast is directly proportional to how much? Increasing the displaced air volume by about 60% would be just about right for a driver that would live for a few years.

Blowers are COOL, Turbos are HOT and Nitrous, well... it`s a GAS! ;)

I`m sure I`ve probably read that somewhere before but I might have just thought that up.

I like that I never heard that one before. :bigups
I have been told that nitrous was cheating. I told him on the street their are only winners and losers.
I like the run what you brung class. :D

I too have been told Nitrous was cheating. My understanding was that the object was to get to the other end as quickly as possible. Period.

To add a little more fuel to the fire check out the comparo`s of the just the V6`s. Look at the number just the V6`s generate they are what the V8`s were pumping out 5 years ago.

YouTube - Pony Car Wars! 2011 Ford Mustang GT vs Camaro SS and Challenger SRT8 (http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=aB4vfZDYyO8)

the V8 numbers are insane. The new mustang with the "handling package" generate at whopping .97 g`s right smack in new M3 territory for what $20k less. :wow: Besides the fact you don`t have to put up with the whole porcupine BMW joke :lmfao:rofl:yay

Even with a turbo it is less than a good V8.

If fuel cost is of concern then buy a economy car if you want performance then go for performance not just a half way.
