Last year I used Megs Plastix to polish the clear plastic around my gear shifter. After buffing it out per the directions I noticed that there were hundreds of fine scratches in the plastic. I believe this is due to the fact that there are abrasives in the Plastix. Can anyone suggest a product to get these scratches out?

I can give you one product that I use on that wood grain plastic stuff.
Novus its the only one that I use for this application. It comes in 3 different cuts. I have the stage one its for polishing or finishing.
The two is for taken out the light scrtaches wihcih sounds like what you have and the three is for heavy cut.

That`s what a lot of bikers use also for windshields and helmets.
