Hey guys, im new here, so go easy on me, ive never done much detailing to a car other then taking it through the car was and vacuuming it out.

Back in june i bought a 95 acura integra to bring back to life, it was pretty beat up on the outside, and the interior was a mess, and stunk god awful.

It was an auction car from the atlanta area a private dealer bought and resold up here. It appeared pretty salvagable so i jumped on it for 2k given the fact that it was mechanically sound. However as i started pulling it apart, getting it ready for the complete color change to nighthawk black pearl, i realized that the girl that probably owned the car before me (given the level of matted long brown hair everywhere) probably didnt know how to drive without constantly hitting stuff. There was obvious dings and dents all over the car, but from the inside, it looked like every serious bump on the car, she had about 37 cups of pumpkin lattee coffee in the car with an industrial size box of tictacs. Well i cleaned that up with the vacuum, and tossed the original carpet, tossed the door panels, tossed some of the console pieces that were cracked, etc etc, and i got all good stuff from a used car from someone on HT. Pics of new stuff...

At any rate, heres where the questions come in. Some of the new stuff needs cleaning, big time. The carpet most of all, has some stains, nothing outrageous, and some sticky spots where maybe a sugary something may have spilled and dried, my experiements with BLUEMAGIC carpet spot treatment have show that the stuff does disolve and break up, however it is very gummy. Secondly, one of the door panels has a spill on it, possibly a drink of some kind, i want to use a cleaner on these before i use a protectant, as they are a vinyl/leather type material. (car comes factory with genuine leather) Next, i have brand new 110 dollar floor mats, i bought some automotive scotch guard protectant, is this good to use on brand new floor mats to keep them stain free? Finally, although the front leather seats are competely shot, the back leather seats were pretty much 100% in perfect condition, i hit them with some 303 right after i got them home to keep them from cracking or anything, however they have black grease on them on the sides, etc, and they need a shampoo, whats a good product to use to clean the leather before i condition it.

Products i have available at my disposal are

bissell little green machine pro heat
2hp shop vac (dry only)
meguiars plastic-x
woolite oxy carpet pretreater
cotton towels/microfiber towels
various armorall cleaninng products (i hate armor all btw)
simplegreen concentrate

pics of the leather seats...

with the products you have on hand I would use the Woolite / Oxy pre spotter. treat the entire carpet with this product. Use a Nylon brush and agitate or scrub the carpet. Then do a fresh water extraction with your Bissell.
For the leather I`m not a fan of Simple Green as a leather cleaner. I would recommend for a new person you pick up some Lexol leather cleaner and a medium stiffness brush.spray the the cleaner then scrub with the brush. If you go in a circular motion it seams to go faster. Use your cotton towels to wipe up then condition.

The Scotch guard probably won`t keep your carpets stain free but will make them easy to clean next time around. You will have to reapply it after every shampooing. regular vacuuming and knocking the sand and dirt out of them will really extend the life of them.

Doesn`t plain friction take scotch guard off?

ya after much reading my original plan for the carpet was to dowse it in the woolite pre treatment and then use the heated water only in the bissell to remove it, since i hear that bissell winds up clogging up real fast anyway. Any advice as far as cleaning the interior panels before using a protector on them?

looks like a good conditioned car, with a little time and some money invested u might be able to sell that car for $4000 if not more than double
