What would be a good follow up after Megs 205 with a white foam pad?
Would PB Pro Polish be decent?
Or straight to a c/Wax or Sealant?

Thanks

You should be able to go straight to sealant after 205. It will depend on how well the 205 finishes out on that particular finish. In most cases it should finish out great but in some it will not.

I with Troy on this one.

However, It`s hard to say without acually seeing the outcome in person. I have used 205 a few times now and see it`s capibilities. 205 could do a nice amount of correction, and finish down sweet, depending on pad choice. But I did have a case on a black finish were 205 did not finish down quite enough.

What are you working on?

I`m working on my 1992 GT 5.0.
I have a thread on it already.
Well first off..I just did one pass with 205 and white pad...
Man I am amazed...It really did an amazing job thus far.

The car is white and has some depth issue with the clearcoat..some permanent water spots especially on hood and roof.
Previous posts by me have some photos..
Not to repeat all the details, but I`ll get to the point..

Started with PB SSR3 Yellow pad
SSR2.5 Orange Pad
SSR1 (this left a superb shine and real smoothe finish) White Pad..
I`ll be safe to say that the SSR1 left a smoother feeling finish than the 205..But the 205 looks cleaner and more rich. A real nice finish..

I plan to go onto Zaino on this car that`s why I want the best surface possible..
I really want to see how good Zaino is on this finish.
I used it on my previous GT and it was outstanding after 5 coats, it was sick..
I want to see if Zaino will make a huge difference on the deopth, gloss and richness and of course reflection..

If it`s white, I would definitely follow with PB`s Pro Polish. Best polish on white paint that I have ever used. Really adds a "blinding cleanliness" to the white finish.

In my experiance with #205 it finishes quite nicely. I was always able to go to my LSP.

In my experience with #205 it finishes quite nicely. I was always able to go to my LSP.

After testing 205 on various finishes, I noticed it does finish very nice! But I did have a hard time on a black Lexus I used it on. It seemed the finish could of been brought up to shine just a little bit more. This could be my ocd though. :)

I will be testing Ultrafine Machine Polish in the next few weeks. I plan to use 105 or 205, depending on severity of the swirls, then follow with UF. The only thing is UF states it`s for rotary only, and I will be using it with my flex DA. I hope I don`t have to bust out the dewalt. :yikes:

I did try PB Pro Polish on part of the hood and I felt that the Megs 205 left a better smoother finish...and more clarity.
I was really impressed by M205..like really impressd.
In fact, I think I`m going to wash with Dawn and start the Zaino test this afternoon..

Both 105 and 205 are my new favorites. And of course the Flex. :D

I just used 105 this weekend and boy, it`s freakin awesome! Used a PC with a light cutting pad, speed 6. Damn!

#105/#205 is a very good combo. Tough to beat in my book.
