Chrome rims that have light rust, exhaust tips, glass that has water spots or light overspray, polishing aluminum (not rims) or any other metals that are rusty looking. There are tons of uses...I buy what ever brand the store carries.

Why are you asking?

I saw a post that someone was using 0000 wool for faded bumpers so I started thinking how many other applications there was for this product...

Tons of applications in the firearms world. Steve showed me these tricks. :D I`ve used it on rusted chrome for years since before I owned my first car. I`ve seen this said by others but if used with a soda that contains citric acid, rust will melt away. I also use it for the first step in a full polish of stainless tail pipes as well. It will leave polish marks on stainless so you`ve got to be prepared to do a full polish if you use quad aught steel wool.

I have used wadding polish before, does the 0000 steel wool work the same way?
