Hi guys! recently I was approached by a nearby VFW post to wash a sort of a monument. The VFW has a militay UH-1D (HUEY) helicopter that is set on sort of a museum type setting. Imma donate my services free of charge. This thing is fully fuctional it was donated by the army a few years ago they landed it on site took out the battery and drained the fuel tank and left it. Its completely airworthy it just needs a lil TLC. My dilema is... well the paint on it is like a rough olive drab primer. I guess its for radar absorbancy ...dunno. Anyway that being said. I`ve decided on wet washing it. Any ideas on what kinda chemicals to use to wash it? I`m stumped. I dont wanna ruin the paint. I just wanna take the dirt off and make it look original. Any feed back is welcome.
