A while back I had a leak in the radiator reservoir. The Dealer fixed it under my Warranty. They asked me if I would like to get the radiator flushed while they did the job. I`m thinking they already are replacing the reservoir tank and all the fluid in that tank so how much can it cost to do the flush? :hmmm: Over $200, that`s how much! :yikes: I declined the offer.

The dealer washed my car (despite my instructions not too) but they didn`t bother to clean up the mes from the fluid leak.

I finally got around to cleaning up the engine today.

An old MF & PB Spray & Wash was all I needed to clean up the dirt. Other than the radiator fluid spray it was not that dirty.

I used some dental sponges I got from my Mom when she was in the hospital to get into the small bits.

AIO on the painted metal surfaces.

I have some left over Meg`s NXT Interior spray. I don`t like it for the interior as it is too shiny. I much prefer PB Natural Look. I thought I would try using the NXT on the plastic engine bits. It seemed to work well.

Nice work, but what did you dress it with? it looks quite streaky.

Yep, NXT Interior Protectant and I agree, it does look streaky. Another reason i don`t care for it as an interior protectant. It feels oily. I should have buffed it more before taking the photo!

You might want to try and buff those plastics again I bet you could get some more streaking out. Nice job!

I hate the looks of late model cars engine bay.
I looked under the hood of a new chevy yesterday nothing but a bunch of plastic panels don`t even look like an engine.

Anybody seen the engine bay of the Lexus LS460? I call it the King of Engine Covers. Pathetic!

Why`s that? All of those covers pop off in about 5 seconds. They are just for "looks".

First: Nice job on cleaning up the engine bay :bigups

Second: Many people now a days I don`t think even look under the hood and not to much the a driveway mechanic can do. I can`t even check the tranny fluid on my car. I was also told that the covers help deaden the sound of the motor.
