Well, it finally happened...after 25 years of driving, I got my first ticket this morning.:wall,

He was a sneaky one, motorcycle cop sitting in a guys driveway next to his garage, didn`t even see him until I was right up on him. He had no mercy on me, even with my record. Ended up being a $185 ticket....:(

:cool:This will become more common(ticket writing) with every City in America losing sales tax revenue, they are gonna have to make it up someway(frivoulos ticket writing) You gotta know the "Upper Muckity Mucks" (City Council/Mayors) are coming up with everyway to keep there Budgets Status-quo, instead of doing like there constituants are doing....Trimming Fat

Not sure what state you are in, but I thought it was illegal for cops to lay in wait on private property to issue tickets. This one may be able to be contested.

The seat belt thing is not one to contest, private property is one I would, don`t think they can do that...also go to court, with your record you have a good chance of reducing that down if you can explain that to a judge

I have always had my tickets dropped with no same or similar in the next 6 months. Still have to pay the fine though. May very from state to state too.

I got nailed by a motorcyle cop once too...

In Memphis they may shoot Radar on Private Property @ Property`s Owners request(some business`s don`t like cars excesivelly speeding past there biz....Kinda makes it Hard/Dangerous for there customers to get unto/out of there lot......
If your city is anything like mine what you will have to do is go to court on specified date....Plead Guilty they will then dismiss ticket(this means it will not go on Driving Record) BUT, after they dismiss charges they will get you in court cost, which will be close to what the said amount of ticket was. actually it should be less.I have had them totally dismissed before...NO $$$..Be on your best behavior, don`t try and argue it. and you may be so lucky:rockon

You will probally never even see a Judge(there playin Golf) the Court Clerk handles it.You go in there tryin to be a big shot(Contesting when you know you are Guilty) and they will "jack" your day up(put you at the end of the line)by this time the Judge will be there(Early Round)and whose side do you think Judge will take? Then he will hit you with not only Court Cost but also the amount of said ticket(this means it WILL go on Driving Record):rockon
