After many years of loyal service, my Hoe is just a bit worn down and tired. With all the specials going on I decided it was time for Poorboy to have a new ride.
Being that I have never had a new ride for myself, I looked around at a few different trucks. At first I was thinking small and economical especially before gas prices dropped, but I wasn`t really comfortable in them. I liked the Mini-Cooper a lot but the wife said the kids would not be safe in it :( Then I looked at intermediate size crossovers but my knees kept hitting the steering wheel getting in and that would get me pissed off in no time. Then I looked bigger at the Yukon, Armada, and Sequoia. Unfortunately our only local Chevy dealer closed down, I`m not interested in a Expedition as I`ve had enough of Fords for a while. The GMC dealer is viewable from my shop and I really liked the Yukon, but they were really expensive :wow:. I test drove an Armada and man it was really nice and super huge, but I don`t do a lot of driving and for local cruising, it didn`t ride very good. So I went to Toyota and drove the Sequoia. It was also very big, but was more comfortable and rode like a car.
So to make a long story shorter ... here it is :)

For those of us who have image hosting sites blocked at work, would you mind telling us what it is?

Funny that you ask :notme:

It was so big that it was done panel by panel..

Well the process of course started with a claying with one of my reserve yellow clay bars :D
The hood was the starting point. Since I picked it up in a snow storm, I never really saw the true color or it really clean. The build date says April, so I`m guessing it sat on the lot for a long time and had a rinse off now and then.

I started on the hood and connecting areas of the fenders. Spray and Wipe, Clay w/ Spray and Wipe Professional Polish with a White polishing pad with the PC. I`d say most of the scratches are gone but there are a couple deeper ones I will attack this summer. Then Polish w/ Sealant with a black finishing pad. Then a coat of Black Hole with another black finishing pad. Indoors it was hard to tell the exact look of the color at this point. but sure was glowing. Then a coat of Natty`s Red .
This of course was all done between phone calls and e-mails :lol2: Over the next few days 4 more coats of Natty`s red was put on and one coat of original Natty`s (the original sample that Natty used)

Here`s an after of the roof

http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo219/poorboysworld/Sequoia/IMG_1266.jpg

it was a bit tight inside to get any side shots, but the process continued, but instead of Professional Polish, we (Pockets and I) oh yeah did I mention that after I finished the hood, I let Pockets do the roof and sides :notme: ..., we used Polish w/ Sealant, Black Hole, and two coats of Natty`s Red for the rest of the truck.
