I am doing a 01 Corvette for a customer that has some scuff marks on the top.
Last time I detailed this car I could not remove the marks.I now have a steamer
and was wondering if this would remove the marks without damaging the top.
Thanks,Pete

Scuff marks? what are you talking about?

It is a tan top with a couple of black marks across the surface.
What caused the marks I have no idea.

I am assuming that this is a material top?

Do they seem like something that has embed into the material? or rubbed the material to make the marks...meaning that its not on the surface

Yes a material top.
It appears that something may have been dragged
across and left the marks.

Its hard to say what would remove the mark...the material tops scuff pretty easy and most can be permanent...however the best cleaner on the market for that type of top is Ragg Topp...if this is something that has embed into the material the cleaner will help lift that...I use a very soft plastic brush...one like you use for finger nail cleaning...this helps to work the cleaner into the material and lift the stain..

You can find Ragg Topp on line or in most good auto parts store or marine supply places.

Their protector will make the top look like new again...I love it!
