Here is a 2001 Honda S2000 with almost 109,000 miles. It still drives great! A friend of mine owns a professional massage business. I told her I’d detail her car for a massage and to my delight she accepted. I didn’t know how dirty the car was! :passout: But that’s okay as I really enjoyed detailing it. In fact, I wish I would have had more time to work on it. I also enjoyed driving it! 240 brake horsepower! If only I could have taken it for a really good drive! :dnaughty
I dropped off my car at her business and drove her S2000 home. It was a sort trip but way fun.
This car was dirty. I have detailed a few dirty cars but this one takes the prize as the dirtiest. I only had 4 hours to work on it so as soon as I pulled it in the drive way I went to work and didn’t stop for lunch or a break.
Process:
Wheels: (about 45 min) The wheels had a lot of brake dust on them. I wasn’t sure I would be able to get them completely clean. So I got out the pressure washer and PB Spray & Rinse (http://www.detailcity.com/poorboys-spray-rinse-wheel-cleaner.html). There is no better/ stronger wheel cleaner! I sprayed it down and used Amazing Roll Off (http://www.detailcity.com/amazing-roll-off-multi-purpose-cleaner-32oz.html) on the tires and wheel wells. I scrubbed the wheels down with CG Citrus wash. I washed them twice and changed the rinse bucket after two wheels! But just look how well they turned out. If I had the time I would have applied PB Wheel Glaze. I finished the tires with Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel (http://www.detailcity.com/pinnacle-black-onyx-tire-gel.html) and the wheel wells with CG Bare Bones.

Wash: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss. Black Shmitt, White/Yellow Shmitt and the AG Foam Gun
I spent about 45 minutes on the wash. Essentially I washed it twice.

With a little over 2 hours left I knew PB Polish with Sealant (http://www.detailcity.com/poorboys-polish-sealant.html) would be the product to use. It did not let me down. I used the UDM with an LC Smart Green pad. In case anyone wonders how well PwS actually polishes just look at these two pictures:
Before PwS

After PwS
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r67/Reddwarf_bucket/Honda%20S2000/DSCN0147.jpg
There was something on the bumper, it looked like paint. The PwS cleaned it right off! There were several other marks on the paint that PwS took care of. A good polish and it leaves a coat of sealant. I love this stuff!
I really wanted to use White Diamond Glaze and then a good wax, but time was not on my side. So, I waxed the hood and the truck with DP Max Wax (http://www.detailcity.com/dp-max-wax.html) and then applied Souveran Spray Wax (http://www.detailcity.com/pinnacle-souveran-liquid-spray-wax.html) on the entire car.
Interior: I just didn’t have the time to do the interior properly. I used the shop vac and DP Total Interior cleaner (http://www.detailcity.com/dp-total-interior-cleaner.html). The seats got Lexol Leather Cleaner (http://www.detailcity.com/lexol-leather-cleaner-spray.html) and then an application of Meg’s Leather Cleaner/ Conditioner. I followed up with PB Natural Look (http://www.detailcity.com/poorboys-natural-look-dressing.html) on the interior.
The glass was cleaned with Surf City Glass Cleaner and I did a quick polish of the windshield with DP Glass Polish.

I’m pleased with the turn out. It needed a good clay before the polish, but again I didn’t have time. She was happy with the way it looked. I had a fun time driving it back to her place. Especially with the hood looking so good!
