Well it is with much sadness that I bring this post to you all. :( This past Monday I got an e-mail from the owner of my (old) ZX3 informing me that it had been totaled. Luckily, the owner was okay although he did suffer some minor injuries.

I don`t know all of the `details` other than I can tell you that the insurance company is totaling it out and the owner does not have the option to buy it back.

Nevertheless, I asked the owner if they`d mind me sharing the last pics of it after the accident and they were okay with it. I also thought I`d post up some pics of the car while I owned it as it progressed over the years one last time.

I thought it was a sad day watching it leave the driveway the day I sold her but it was indeed more sad to see my baby rear-ended like this.

Anyway, here are the pics of it now...

And for a bit of a tribute...one last time...here it is through the years I owned it up until 2 years ago when I sold her...

Shortly after I bought it I ordered a set of gun-metal 17 x 7.5" Motegi MR12`s on 205/40 Sumitomo rubber. My bro helped me to drop it 2.5" on SC Racing springs and from that point I was in love.

I added a Fiber Images hood as well as a Kaminari lip...

After that came an upgrade to the H&R Cup Kit suspension and a slew of other goodies, I decided I needed to step it up, so I designed my own paint scheme for it and set out to paint it...my first paint job ever after a 14 week class. The results came out phenomenol (in my opinion) and I won a number of trophies with it.

Here are a few shots of me painting it with the help of my Dad...

Almost complete...

and a bit of wild pinstriping to `set-it-off`...

So with this final parting shot I say so long to my beloved ZX3. After I sold her, the buyer was very excited to take ownership and I know that he and his family thoroughly enjoyed it. Long live the `LOW ZX3`...

Thanks for letting me post this up for one last `hoorah` before she`s off to the scrapyard. This car was awesome to drive and a fun one to tinker on. Hopefully someday I`ll have another `fun` car.

Doesn`t look totalled to me. That`s too bad. Looks like there was a lot of work put in to it.

Lot`s of work went into it. I had well over 60 hours in the paint work alone...not to mention all the other things I did to it. Between the prep, taping off the stripes, sprayin` them and then all of the work wet-sanding/buffing. She was my pride and joy for the 4-1/2 years I owned her.

I gave the rims to my bro just before I sold the car. He has a customized 2005 (?...or 6?) focus ZX4.

May she rest in peace!! Heck, I was a little in shock when I traded my Black truck the other month. I would would be beside myself if I saw my truck totaled. All I did was clean it. You did way more than that. I know it is only a car but I commiserate with you(the creator) and the present owner in the loss!!

That car still looked repairable to me but then I don`t know body work all the well.

My 66 mustang that I had painted back in the 70`s had 26 coats of lacquer...it was a great ride...it was totaled two days after I sold it....wrapped around a phone pole!
