I was at the American LeMans (ALMS) race this past weeked. What a show of performance cars!

Our club had one area reserved for Porsche parking called PORSCHEPLATZ. Big turnout of all years! From the very old to the very new and a few GT`s.

The races between Friday and raceday Saturday was insane! They repaved the race track which does helps, but some of the corners were modified.

Ah the noise and smells! The loudest were the Corvettes in GT1 class, followed by the Panoz. You sure could tell they were on the track!

You`d think the Audi TDI LMP1 cars would be loud, but they were very quite, but very very fast passing everyone.

Farnbacherloles Porsche RSR took pole position for GT2 beating the F430`s. Porsche has gone to 4.0 liter engines for RSR`s now. Same restrictor on the intake, but more torque where it counts. In the end, the Flying Lizard team took the win in GT2 class, keeping the F430`s at bay.

The RS Spyders were doing good, until the last two laps, then one got punted off-track going around "big bend" and could not hold on. The Acura LMP2 from Highcroft racing won LMP2.

Anyone really wanting to see a great race, go to an ALMS race!! The next will be in Ohio. You`ll have a great time, trust me!
