So since I haven`t washed my car for a while, I was just wondering if there is some sort of spray cleaner that I should use to help lift the deep down dirt off the paint before using a clay bar. I ask because I want to reduce the scratches that will happen during the clay bar process. I do all of my work by hand so the cleaner the better. Thanks!

You should just be able to wash the car and then clay it. If you have serious dirt in the car that has stained the paint then that is what a paint cleaner after the clay will sort out. The important thing is to get the top layer of dirt and grit off before you clay.

One can use a form gun or use P21S Total Auto Wash, then wash again to be sure one got off the garbage off before claying.

If your car is white, do a Decon wash and then clay it. It will do wonders.
