I used Meguiars Final Inspection QD for the first time this morning. I am not really impressed. I guess it put an OK shine on my silver truck, but UGE is much more glossy. UGE smells better, too!:lol Meguiars was cheaper by about $3, though. Next up will be EF clear pearl. I hear good things about this one, too. We`ll see. It runs about a $1 more than Meguiars (based on 16oz). I am hesitant to try PBs QD+ as it has been mentioned that it is a bit difficult to work with. I dunno.

I`ve used PB and it`s not bad to work with although I still think Platinum is just a notch above (at least on Red).

EF CP is good but doesnt leave anything impressive also. Try Meguiars Finial Detail from the Detailers line it leaves the best pop.

Final Insection from Meguirs contain no wax or polymers for shine. It is simply a lubricated final wipe down to remove light contaminants (dust, fingerprints) without scratching the surface. I currently use Auto Magics Body Shine which is pretty much the same concept as FI. FI and Body Shine can also be used to spritz on your buffing pad and I have been using it during my final polishing with Meguirs No. 9... A little tip I picked up from someone here at Detailcity.

I like FI, I use it betwwen steps when I am using a polymer sealant. My favorite QD for the money is Mothers showtime. You may also want to try meg`s final detail in the detailer line.

How is the "Mothers" line? I don`t hear much about it here.

Could Finial Detail be used to spray the pad when buffing or not because it contains silicones to bumb up the shine.

I haven`t used the entire line, but the cleaner wax is decent, the carwash is good, the clay bar is nice if you need something local, the sealer glaze works very well, and the I think the showtime QD is the QD for the $. I also like the pure carnuba gold wax(noncleaner)

I though Mothers had petroleum distilates in it and that was not a good thing? What is in the Mothers? How about some of the other popular QDs?

I dont think they use PD`s in QD only in Dressings and other stuff to get the wet greasy look. Some QD usally have Silicones or Polymers to give you that pop like Finial Detail it really gets the job done.

QD+ is an AMAZING product! Do not doubt it! It takes a little more time, do to the high ammount of canauba in it, but its well worth it.
