i was at west marine getting some stuff and i thought i check to see if they had collinite insulator wax,which they did not :mad: they did have the 925 boat wax.
west marine said that the 925 is the insulator wax just a different bottle.i tried to call collinite but when i got home they were closed.has anyone else heard of that or know from collinite that its in fact the same

I have only used the #845, but I have heard the same thing about the #925, #845 being the same.
I don`t really know, but.....
They do share the same MSDS.

The #925 is priced $3 higher than #845 at Auto Geek.

I think you will like the IW.
Shake it, shake it, shake it and it becomes a much thinner liquid than when it has been just stored in the bottle.
Weird stuff, thick until you really shake it.
Like any wax/sealant, apply it thin and it wipes off very easily. Good durability as well.

Charles i had west marine call collinite to see if they could get me the 845 today and they told west that 925 and 845 iw is in fact the same just a different bottle per collinite.so i guess that guy knew what he was talking about.
I have both the insulator wax (845) and the super doublecoat (476s). I don`t know if they`re the same as the others being mentioned or not. What I do know is that after a detail, if one or the other is not on the paint...no matter what sealant I used, I don`t feel the job is done, or that the car is as protected as it should be.

It`s a wax that thinks it`s a sealant and can blow the doors off many "real" sealants that cost 10x as much.

I`m acutally located in Utica and the Collinite factory is a mile from me. Awsome guys and I only use their wax products obviously. I will most likely start selling their products on my site within the next months.

Most people seem to agree with their products being of good quality.
