Going Back In Time?

Lets say that you could travel back in time to an era of your choice...along with that you could take ONE thing with you from the current time...PC, car, cell phone, fax machine, whatever...the key is that it would work like in the present day..so that you could show it off.

Here is the kicker...

What year?

For me I would like to show my father who passed in 75 the world of the net, he was a very progressive mind..always thinking outside the box, if you will...this is the only reason I thought of this thread..kind of interested as to what other can contribute to this...totally go outside the box on this one if you will...it should be a interesting thread

It definitely would not be the cell phone. I sometimes find myself wishing that invention had never happened. It can be very annoying both having one and dealing with people in society that are always on one.

The laptop and internet would be my choice. Besides the porn, spam and viruses, the internet really is a remarkable tool. The internet combined with a portable and powerful computer like the laptops of today is amazing to me. Just imagine what the technology will be like 20 years from now.:crazy2:

As far as what time frame, I would pick when I was a kid. I would have probably turned out as a video game junkie but my brain was at a stage where it could learn everything easier back then. These days, I feel like I am always stretching myself to catch up with the technology of today.
