Hello all!
I detailed my 06 Mustang the other day, finishing in the evening in the garage. The final step was to clean all of the glass with Stoners IG. The next morning, whilst driving to work, the sun revealed some pretty severe spots, but the other windows are fine. Fearing I had the same spots on my paint, I inspected the finish when I arrived at work....clean as a whistle:hmmm:
Fast forward to after driving home from work and I redo the glass, still has spots. Does anyone know if Ford has a coating that may be breaking down? My next idea is to take my PC and polish the windshield to see if that helps. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Sorry, no pics available.

When you say "spots", do you mean larger (pencil rubber sized) spots or tiny pinpricks?

Are you talking about water spots or is it small "chips" in the glass

If they are water spots.
-Clay
-IG
-If they are still there they may not be water spots

If they are very small chips.
-Clay (if you want)
-Use a light polish with a polishing pad
-See if they are taken out
-If not polish with a mild polish and polishing pad
-Still there they might be chips like j said

Polishing the window may be a good idea anyway i usually polish the windsheild when i do a full detail on my car just so it gets rid of any wiper trails and makes the wipers more efficient. What products do you have to work with????
Hope this helped
