Does anyone know how long after ordering it takes for Duragloss.com to fill and bill an order? Thanks.

It seems like it was shipped either the day I ordered it or the next day after.

FWIW, You might want to compare the total cost, including shipping for both DG and Autogeek.
On my order, DG shipping was cheap, but Autogeek`s price was enough cheaper to have been very nearly the same total cost.

Hmm, I ordered at lunch time Tuesday and as of now it hasn`t been charged to my credit card yet.

I didn`t know about Autogeek. I just checked and for the same items their price was a nickel more. Not enough to make a difference.

I order from DG when I buy in gallons because the shipping is 5 bucks for 1 bottle or 100 bottles.

That nickel might have gotten you your package by the time you were writing this.

One thing that helps is the DC discount of 10% from Autogeek.
If everything is taken into account, the results aren`t always what you first expect.

A couple of examples.
Autogeek:
#601 - $6.99
#105 - $9.99
#951 - $7.50
Total - $24.48
Less 10% -$2.44
Plus shipping - $5.99
Actual cost - $28.03

Dura Gloss:
#601 - $7.49
#105 - $9.99
#951 - $7.99
Total - $25.47
No discount
Plus shipping - $4.95
Actual cost - $30.42

One gallon of AW isn`t much different, but AG is still less.
AG: $29.99 less 10% - $2.99 = $27 + $8.99 = $35.98
DG: $32.85 + $4.99 = $37.80

The fact that AG helps sponsor this site would also influence me a little.

Has AG changed their shipping policy ?????
I ordered from AG about two years ago and paid about $ 15.00 in shipping. The shipping was as much as the product.
I will look into this next time I order. That may be awhile though since I don`t have room in my garage to store anymore detailing products.
I offered to give some of it to some friends but they never did come and get it so either they don`t want it or they want me to deliver it to them
I guess I need to just load up some stuff that I know that I`m not going to ever use again and pitch it.

Can`t answer that question. I can post their U.S. shipping charge info, though.

UPS Ground Shipping
ORDER VALUE / SHIPPING CHARGE

$25.00-49.99 / $8.99
$50.00-74.99 / $11.99
$75.00-99.99 / $14.99
$100.00-149.99 / $16.99
$150.00-199.99 / $18.99
$200.00-249.99 / $20.99
$250.00-299.99 / $22.99
$300.00-349.99 / $24.99
$350.00-399.99 / $25.99
$400.00-499.99 / $27.99

I ordered from AG about two years ago and paid about $ 15.00 in shipping. The shipping was as much as the product. As you can see from the shipping info, $15 should get almost $100 worth of product shipped.
Must have been next day air. :D

FWIW, I`m not trying to knock Dura Gloss`s shipping deal, but it isn`t quite as great as it looks at first glance.

I see your point and since I buy products other than what is made by DG I will probably order from AG.
The last time that I ordered direct from Duragloss was a few weeks before AG started selling DG products. I ordered these and shipping was 5 bucks.
1 481 we
1 952 AW
1 923 FC&S
1 271 RBD
2 105 TPP
1 601 PBA
This would have been about ten bucks more shipping from AG but I get my poorboy`s S&W and PB S&G from AG so next time I will probably order everything from AG.
I`m going to a show tomorrow so I will get rid of some products cleaning the car again at the show tomorrow.

Duragloss.com had a 10% discount code from the Lexus forum, not sure if it`s still valid. Last I heard you got to call them up first.

Apparently I wrote to soon, just checked my credit card and it was charged the day I ordered, but not posted till late last night.

I didn`t know that Autogeek sold Duragloss products, nor did I know that they offered DetailCity members a discount. With the discount they would have been cheaper than Duragloss.com. Oh, well, live and learn.

Some thoughts on pricing.
1. We all have paid more than the cheapest price for products.
2. Sometimes a higher price has been justified because of service.
3. The higher price is quickly forgotten when it was for a quality product.
4. The shipping charged by most vendors is still better than spending almost as much gas money and a lot more time running around to find products. When I decided to try Dura Gloss, I went to 3 Car Quest stores and ended up ordering it on-line when they didn`t have it.
5. After you have been doing this for a year, you will have spent so much money on products, you will no longer keep track of the costs.

Is there a specific reason that you won`t order from websites other than the manufacturer?

I can`t say why FALLZ prefers to buy direct but when I decided to try Duragloss I called and ask to speak to the chemist.

I had some questions about the proper use and I got to talk to the man that actually formulated this product and had spent much time testing and working with it not some sales rep that may or may not have ever used it.
This is priceless how many times have you ever talked to Barry Meguiars.
