One of my favorite things to read on here are funny stories about anything but especially detailing.

I`ve told a couple;

Love Bug Remover (http://www.detailcity.org/forums/off-topic-forum/21177-love-bug-remover.html)

Bags over the mirrors (http://www.detailcity.org/forums/off-topic-forum/21104-bags-over-mirrors.html)

I`ve created this section so we can all post our funny detailing stories. If you know of any in the past that belong here please submit them to me or a moderator so we can move them here.

Please don`t post other stories here. Non-detail related stories are welcome but please post them in the off-topic forum.

Thanks. I look forward to hearing yours,

Troy

Putting links on this thread works just fine for threads that are already on the boards.:bigups

I discovered when you copy a thread it doesn`t copy any new posts after it has been copied, so better to either move it here or link to it on this thread.

Linking is better IMO, especially to ones that are in sponsored forums. BTW, I did both for mine.:D

You did fine, that`s what this meant - :bigups

I was once had an older lady customer who owned an older black Mercedes. She asked me how it would look when I was finished, I answered, "as close to new as possible" she replied, " oh good I really liked all those lines reflecting when the sun hits the car" :confused:
She was refering to the swirl marks:lol2:

Not exactly detailing but........
Many years ago I totalled my car and a friend loaned me his truck. It had been parked under pine trees in Alabama for years. Once done I called to thank him and said I had washed it and filled it up with gas as a thank you gesture. He said, "you washed it?" to which I answered yes. After a few seconds of silence he said "What color is it?":rofl :rofl :rofl

I wasn`t planning on having all the stories on this thread but I guess if they are short ones and you don`t want to start a new thread, it works.

Well I did create a whole new forum just for the stories, so yes my thinking was to have them on their own threads. But like I said if they are short ones posting them on this one is fine too.

It sounds like you think I`m :crazy:
