Detailed this SL500 today. No before pics cause it wasn`t too dirty.

Process was

Inside

Wipe everything down with a apc and apply pecards leather conditioner to everything. And i cleaned the carpets with my mytee extractor.

Outside

Wash and clayed with automagic products.

Then i pulled out the poorboys i had and Did a light polish by rotary with poorboys pro polish to get a clean surface to apply some nattys paste.

I also pressure washed the motor and sprayed some automagic super dress-it on as well as in the wheel wells.

Tires got Dealers Choice solvent based.

Here are some pics.

That`s a pretty impressive vehicle and a great job on the detail. The paper floor mats are definitely a nice touch.

yeah i like the mats to very professional...... why did you wipe down the interior with an apc, even with it diluted i find it streaks, smears, and residues all over the plastics and trim, it looks clean though, i normally use pledge all purpose..... none the less great job

Really? I`ve never had that happen to me. Maybe what you see streaking is dirt residue/grime. I use a apc cause it works, isn`t pledge ment for wood and glass top tables? I know some people use it on paint but on interiors too? Never heard of that.

I had those mats printed up a few months ago. I was using the standard ones you can buy online but i wanted my name and phone number on the bottom.

Great job on the Mercedes!

I`ve used an apc on just about every vehicle I have done and haven`t seen a problem.

Thanks for the suggestion but i think i`ll pass. I`ve had no problems with my current process with the apc. No reason to go off and buy another product that will do the same thing as one you have already. Right?

Car looks great. I have a silver car myself and man, silver is a PITA sometimes but when you get it right the look is awesome. Great job on the car and I bet the customer was happy with it. Oh, was there any reason you went with the solvent based dressing instead of a waterbased dressing?

True detailer is right streaks are clean vs dirty, APC pulls out some of the moisture and can leave light marks if mixed to strong,,, but will dissapere when you dress it.

F.E.D. is right. My experience has been just that. Mixed too strong there will be problems. All streaks will go away once dressed though.
