:yay I went and picked up a new air compressor at Sears last night for 100 bucks (on sale :D ). It is a Craftsman 1hp 3gal 125psi. I got it to get the water out of the cracks after washing it, interior detailing, and if I ever need some sort of air powerd tool (Its just big enought for that). It also came with a 17pc package w/ many different attachments including a 25ft coil hose. Well here are some pics of it. :inspector:

I was going to use the little spray bottle things that you use on your comp but it would eventually be more expensive than the initial price of this baby.

I hope that is an excellent purchase for you. I have had my eye on the same unit for the past year or so. I like the fact that it is oil lubricated. From things I`ve read that helps with the longevity of the machine.
Let us know how much benefit you derive from its use. I also hope you took advantage of the 50% off of the 50` of air hose. You`ll probably need that to get to the vehicles depending on where your outlets are located. IIRC you can`t run those off of an extension cord.

Nice compressor Pockets...looks well built...and a piston type also...I have one similar to it for lite work ..instead of firing up the big one in the garage..that one shakes the house and is noisy...
My little one gets lots of use and never a problem....make sure you drain tank after use the get the water out of tank...helps for longer life on the tank and getting alot of moisture in your air...

:thanks Mr. Clean I will deff tell you how much i benefit from it. But I would take advantage of the sale right now its cheap and you wont be dissapointed by it. And of course it is a craftsman. Havent been able to get around to using on a car b/c its mad cold outside and there is still :snow: on the ground but im killing my mom with her allerges becasue im spraying any surface and watching the dust fly :lmfao :lmfao :lmfao
It says in the owners manual that you can run it on 12 gauge with a maximum length of 25ft (says to buy more hose before you got to an extension cord though:( ). But yes i am going to buy that 50` hose:)
Being oil lubricated alot of people think that it will go into the air that is not true that was the first thing that I asked the guy at sears lol he said not a chance so I bought it.

Thanks Al:thanks I know what you mean by the big ones that shake you house :scared: . We have one at our firehouse and when that thing fires up you not only cant hear yourself but you get a strange feeling to just get away from it lol I have been draining the tank alot but nothing has been coming out b/c im inside but after each use I will be sure to do that.

That will sure come in handy! I will say, from my experiences, GET RID OF THE COILED HOSE!! They are a pain in the neck and if you’re stretching it and it slips out of your hand, it will scratch the hell out of some paint, especially if you have that metal blow gun on the end. I would recommend getting some of the 1/4" hose instead of the 3/8 so you don’t loose too much pressure.
You`ll appreciate it being oil lubricated, as the oil free compressors are very loud.
I think it will work perfect for what you`re doing, but I wouldn’t plan on using too many air tools with it, other than a nail gun, at least not for more than a couple seconds.
