I figured since CharlesW started this thread i decided to get off my lazy rear and check the air in my tires that was over due.http://www.detailcity.org/forums/car-maintenance-repairs-modifications/20128-tire-pressures.html?highlight=tire+pressure Any ideas on what type of tire gauges you guys use or recommend..

I switched over to a digital craftsman and i find it to be more trouble then its worth..

I dont chcek my tire presure enough but when I do do it I use of of the old fashined ones that when it gets presure it shoots the little rod out to a number. I find they are much eisier to use then the digital ones and i find it works all the time not half the time

Don`t know about the Craftsman guage but i have a digital from Accutire which is i guess thier more standard model. Ive had it for a few years and it works flawlessly for me.

Autogeek has them ..they come in different varieties - Accutire Digital Tire Pressure Gauges: Increase fuel efficiency with accurate tire pressure! tire gauge, tire guage, tire pressure reader, key chain (http://www.autogeek.net/actiprgu.html)

I prefer the digital. I got it at Radio Shack a few years back. It is self calibrating and reads in 1/2 lb increments.

Like CalgaryDetail, I have always used the standard tire gauge..The digital gauge will give a reading with .5 psi ..but i found if i didn`t get it right the first i had to wait for the digital reading to clear before i could check the same tire again.. this isn`t work when the weather gets cold and i find myself adding air in the summer i could deal with it..
