I have searched and tried everything. How do you set settings to show more of the new post? On bimmerfest I can set it to any parameter, but here no go.

Are you talking about the number of threads that appear when you select "New Posts"? If so, try this -

Edit Options
Thread Display Options
Number of Posts to Show Per Page

I don`t think you can do what you are wanting to do, but......
If you go to the "Quick Links" and then "Today`s Posts", it may serve the same purpose.
