This is a review of the new Diamondite Glass Sealant. PBMG was gracious to send me some of the new Diamondite glass products for review. Based on the fact that my 2012 Jeep Wrangler was due for some glass protection I decided to test the Diamondite glass sealant on the windshield and drive/pass glass windows.
Product

Description:
Diamondite Glass Sealant is an easy-to-use, spray and wipe glass sealant for your windshield and other automotive glass designed to provide a slick, hydrophobic layer of protection that lasts for up to 6 months. Unlike other glass sealants, this formula will not cause your windshield wiper blades to skip or chatter. Diamondite Glass Sealant is ultra-concentrated and can coat up to 30 vehicles` glass surfaces!
Cost: $39.99 for 8 ounces.

Application:

I prepped the glass and windshield after a thorough cleaning, which included an IPA wipedown, and applied the Diamondite Glass Sealant with a microfiber applicator. One or two sprays was plenty to cover at least half of the windshield so a little product definitely goes a long way.
The product applied very easily, buffed off effortlessly, and had no streaking issues at all during removal. I waited approximately 24 hours for it to cure before exposing it to water.

Thoughts and Observations:

Diamondite glass sealant is probably one of the easiest glass protection products I have used. I didn’t run into any streaking issues as I had in the past with some glass ceramic coatings. I also didn’t have the need to constantly check the glass for any high spots that might occur with a coating. The product claims durability for 6 months. If this holds true I could easily apply this every 6 months with very little effort. A little does go a long way so I do see it possibly lasting up to the manufacturers claim of 30 vehicles. This would be very cost effective compared to some of the ceramic coatings on the market which as mostly single use applications.

The beading the following day on the glass was pretty impressive. I still have yet to drive the vehicle in the rain to see the water behavior and to see if I get any wiper chatter. Overall I was very pleased with this product for it’s beading properties, its ease of use, and limited amount of product used for application.

Sounds easier to apply, curious to see how it would compare to Auqapel.

I have never used Aquapel. It was all the rage before glass coatings were even invented. However this glass sealant was pretty "stupid easy".
