What did you use on the vinyl(?) convertible top?
How do you clean and polish that clear plastic rear window in the top? Looks crystal-clear in the photo.

Were the aftermarket rims clear-coated or true chromed? If chromed, what did you use on them?

Judging by the fact that you did NOT show any polishing pads with paint on them, I assume the respray paint is clear-coated and not an OEM single-stage.

How often do you de-badge vehicles like this and what is your methodology to do this??

ANOTHER BETA-TEST of a detailing product; this time a graphene tire coating? This seems to be a never-ending process of testing of products that you cannot talk about. At least you pique my (and other Autopians) Captain Obvious nosy curiosity (interest) by telling us what they are.
(Still waiting on the chrome polish)

I did figure out that the "SBC" means Short-Block Crate OR Small-Block Crate engine.

Excellent detailing workmanship on this iconic American muscle car.

Beautiful work! Looks like you had plenty of paint thickness to work with.

Thanks all!

Yes, plenty of paint!

Lonnie: SBC means small block Chevy.

Sorry I forgot some things! I used McKee`s37 quick interior detailer on all of the vinyl. It was in good shape and just needed a little cleaning and minor protection.

Wheels were chrome. Just washed them and then hit them with some Pinnacle detail spray to shine em up a little more.

Rear window was not touched, it had some defects that you could not see in the pics, like chemical pock marks that would not correct. I left it as is as to not haze it or anything.

Re-spray was base/clear.

Yes, I am fortunate that I get to test out some cool products...some make it to production, others not.

Top was cleaned/protected via 303.

Thanks!!!

How many hours do you have into that one?

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Lonnie: I forgot to address your question about badge removal: I usually won`t do this, however, these were full of `the other guys wax` and looked horrible. They were also fairly simple to remove and looks a world better cleaned...as well as the surface underneath corrected.

Gearhead: I had her for 3.5 days. I don`t keep track of time anymore...it just goes by!

I`m kinda like you; Whatever it takes to get the job done to MY Autopian OCD-Standard satisfaction. You are right, time does go by and before I know it, I`ve worked 12 hours straight on a vehicle and it`s only "partially" done. My better half thinks I`m nuts (which you ARE, Captain Obvious!) when I spend an inordinate amount of time detailing in places no one sees or cares about. Most of my vehicles are daily drivers and one thing I do is to remove the space-saver spare tire, clean that area, and pump it up to the recommended 60-PSI (Most are flat @ 15 PSI which is equal to atmospheric pressure). Just something I do. I can tell A LOT about the history of a vehicle from the spare tire well. Some are rusty or silty, telling me its be in water of some sorts. Most vehicle owners never knew that or will tell you a story how they got stuck in flooded street a"few" years back.

Nice job as always.

I heard rumblings of the tire dressing you are beta testing. At least I have an idea of which one it is.
