Iron remover drying too fast

Tried iron remover (have some Dodo Juice Ferrous Dueller) on all my cars* over the last couple of weeks. It dries, even doing half a panel, before I see any reaction at all. I’m guessing it’s one of 3 reasons: (a) there’s no iron contamination, 2. The remover is gone bad, thirdly, it’s two dry on the high plains. It’s been more than a couple of years since I’ve clayed or anything besides wash. Researched but haven’t seen any info that the main chemical in these ironx type products go bad. So I’m leaning toward it being the third.


suggestions? What would you have me do? Want to make sure I do the best I can before in apply the CQUARTZ lite later.

You are not applying to hot panels or in the sun? Perhaps you need to use more product on each panel, really soak each one.

I`ve never had this issue, but I`m down in the soupy, humid swamp!

Nope, air conditioned garage on cool panels. I’ll try applying it more thickly to see if that helps.

Should get the panel pretty wet. Maybe the AC blowing in the panels? I believe i read iron X has a 5 yr shelf life and it’s probably longer.

And yes it could be that you have no iron contamination on the car or it could be hard to see. It should be running off of car so look for the purple on the ground. I had that issue on my black car.
