Mike Looks real nice sir.I will be picking up one of these this summer.I take it this is a gas not diesel engine?Again looks awesome how do you like Black and the florida sun.Just to damn hot in Texas for all black trucks.But they sure look nice when there clean

I`m not sure if I`ll keep doing 4k...it`s pretty fat to stream.

Yes, It was a lot of paint (and high). The good news is the sides were flat and a comfortable height.

I share the facility with a friend. It works great for those "oversized" vehicles.

Although higher maintenance, when clean, IMHO there is nothing better looking than gloss black.

I LOVE your CarPro red tape job. It makes it look like this truck NEEDS red trim to set it off. Seriously!
Is the Rupes DA coarse compound and Rupes UNO Ultrafine polish "better" suited to this particular black production GM/Chevy clear-coat & paint type?
Just curious because you have a plethora of compounds and polishes to choose from and just wondering why this combo for this paint.

Excellent detailing workmanship on a truck. I have a feeling the owner gets a "few" head whiplashes and second looks with this truck done to perfection by you.

I share the same opinion- when its right nothing compares- looks so deep. I saw a vette done about 30 yrs ago that was done in black lacquer & I swore that the paint was still wet

Gotta say...I go through a lot of Carpro red tape. It goes on easy, stays in place, and comes off easily without leaving residue behind.

NOTE: Every paint is different. That said...
I really like the new Rupes Blue, Yellow, White UNO Pure compounds/polishes. They work well with very little to no dusting.
I haven`t quite got that "loving feeling" for the Rupes Blue DA pad yet...But I`m learning. I still use the Lake Country HDO Blue Cutting Pad.

I like the Rupes Yellow and white DA fine and ultra fine finishing pads.

I find it humorous that the Rupes DA pads come in what I call the "Potato Chip" bags. Well, I guess it keeps `em sealed and clean.

He called it "A rolling mirror on four tires." I thought that was pretty kewl.

Yes, all said and done...that`s my "Big Reward" when I`m done with a vehicle.
It`s a good feeling to step back and look at your work and get a good sense of accomplishment.
