water spots

I get water spots from a sprinkler system....I live in a condo so no way I can shut it off...LOL usless I blow it up..will applying a ceramic coating help

Ceramic coatings are prone to water spots. I have `heard` of someone once taking the offending sprinkler head off and replaced it with a cap, effectively killing that head without damaging it...

Carpro has the original CQuartz, which has titanium in it. Scott from DPCdetailing (the same Scott from Luxury Microfiber) has a new line of titanium based coatings. Initial thoughts from people appear to be very positive, and the coatings actually have nice water behavior. The benefit to a titanium based coating is a reduction in water spotting and an increase in surface reflectivity. If I wasn’t a broken college student, I’d actually pick one of his new coatings up. His coating T3, the baby of the paint coating bunch, is $75 for 60ml before tax and shipping. Not a bad deal.

I assume that before your endeavors to coat your vehicle, you will need to remove the water spots.

i have a bottle of the t9 to try out, I won`t be getting to it real soon though. As we will be moving at the end of August. So probably not untill mid September.

Yeah, I have my eyes on T9 or T6+, one day I’ll test one out.

tThank you for your help...going to try using clay to get off the water spots....then use ceramic coating...where are you moving to

I clayed....polish the hood but the water spots were still there...then I used Meguairs compound and finally the spots were gone....I finished ceramic coating hopefully there will be no more water spots

I would use a graphene based detailing spray on top. Much less chance of spotting with graphene. However, spotting from sprinklers is a tough one to avoid. As the minerals in the water settle and get blasted out when they activate. Get some good water spot remover also.
