Ihave kinda asked this before and had really no help but i have a honda gcv160 5.5 pressure washer that i got from a friend. The chemical injection doesn`t work or i can`t figure out how to use it. Does any one know where i could go to get this fixed? I don`t know where they bought it from either.

I don`t want to sound rude... But why is the injector so important? I don`t use mine, Most of the soaps that are "safe" to use aren`t very good. Thats just my Opinion.

To answer your Question, Any "Tool Rental" facility should have a tech. on hand or know of one that should be able to help you out.

I like the injector because i also have a leaky truck and need to clean the drive way and just like being able to have it.

I would search the web for a owners manual to make sure that you are operating in correctly...that would also give you some service locatinos that could help

I don`t know the model of the pressure washer you own, but it sounds to me like you have an air leak somewhere that is impeding it`s ability to pickup soap. I`m pretty sure it`s downstream injection you`re asking about, and air leaks are the usual suspects.

IC, do you have the proper tip on the PW gun? I know mine requires a "soap" tip for it to spray soap.

probably dumb, but just a suggestion.

Not dumb at all. That tip is required!!!!!

I upstream my soap, so completely forgot about the special tip for downstreaming.

ok if I`m not mistaken the Honda GCV160 describes the engine ONLY
Honda GCV160-AS1A. 5.5 H.P. New O.H.V. Design.
# Recoil Starter.
# 7/8" x 3.16" Crankshaft with Full Keyway & 2 Woodruff Key Slots
# Drilled & Tapped 3/8-24.
# Compliance Positive Stop.
# Shipping weight = 30 lbs
$199.95+shipping

but I belive I have a twin to it with a briggs & stratton and the problem I had with mine was the reed valves were getting stuck and only one side of the pump was working, this caused a low pressure in the gun and the soap exchanger will not work on low pressure. at least mine did not..

Is this a vertical Shaft motor?
if so the pump is under the engine mounted directly to the engine shaft.
DO NOT USE A HAMMER on this Pressure pump unit it has ceramic pistons in it and they break easily, trust me a piston replacement is almost the same cost as the whole new unit.

Is this a COLD WATER ONLY machine?
If so the soap exchanger is right after the exit of the pump and there should be a small hose attached 90°to this block there is a very small spring loaded stainless ball in a brass housing or it can be stainless steel.. look to see if the ball is stuck? spring is broken/missing or rotted

not much more i can do with out seeing the unit first hand.

if your not mechanically inclined try looking at a lawn mower service center or small engine repair shop...Texas has to have one on every other block.

Who Makes The Pressure Washer Honda Does Not Make Them ThemSelfs

most pressure washers are low pressure for the soap injecting you need the
right gun /tip for that app.
