First grass cut of the year yesterday. Thought it was a bit early myself. But neighbors were all ready cutting as early as 2 weeks ago. Of course the string trimmer spit out the last few inches of line as I fired it up. LOL. Have to get a roll of line for the season.

Yeah, we certainly seem to be having an early spring.

Yeah a lot of my neighbors have been mowing for a few weeks. My wife and I rwnt off a guy who to say it nicely is an absentee landlord who lives right next door. He will now everywhere else, but never mows his own property...my guess is because he "technically doesn`t get paid for his services"

I bought a push mower and trimmer a few years back because when he would mow he wouldn`t trim so it always looked awful. Anyway the past few years I`ve been push mowing and trimming everything. We are closing on a house a few doors down in about a month, and I ran the old gas out of the mower on Friday. I thi k I`m going to not fill it and just let the grass go here to see how long it is until he mows. All he does is haul amish around so now he is just sitting at home everyday...he can take care of his own grass this year

Yea, fired up the mower Friday and cut for the first time this year. Also realized why it cut so crappy last year when I went to sharpen the blade; I don`t think I sharpened it in two years from the look of it. The nut holding it to the spindle was super tight as well, but was no match for my 1/2" air impact. Definitely got a coat of anti-seize this time around, although this is probably the last season for this mower. Electrical issues are popping up and when I drained the oil it was a coppery-sparkly mess. Oh well, it had a good run!
