What`s the easiest way to remove previous coatings? I applied Optimum Gloss Coat 2 years ago. I`m thinking of trying Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0. Is there a way to get the previous coating off without just polishing?

Polishing is the best way to ensure it’s removed. The prep is always key to maximizing a coatings performance.

That seems to be consensus around here for any LSP. Wouldn’t expect it to last over a year if you could remove with a chemical decon

That`s what I was afraid of. I just hate taking the time to polish

Zip over the paint with some Essence and that is all you need. Let it sit overnight and come back with a light Eraser wipe and proceed to coat.

If it’s like CQUK3.... I buffed off 2 week old with essence and a green LC CCS pad by hand. A DA should make quick work

What is essence?

CarPro Essence is a light polish and SIO2 protectant combined in one. You can use it in combination with a Meguires microfiber cutting pad for good results. I don’t even do a wipe down after application. Good stuff.
